Howdy everyone! I am so excited to share some great news with you all! Saddles In Service will be expanding to Elkhart, Texas and Shell, Wyoming! The SIS in Texas will deliver the same exact program as we offer at our main site in San Diego. We will be transporting a few of our horses from here to start the herd in Texas. Elkhart is home to the largest Naval Recruiting Station in the nation. Donna Sinema, our Chief Communications Officer (CCO), will be running this new site. The Wyoming site will offer a different program. It will be a week-long cattle working program. Tom Bercher put together an amazing program that is taking our SIS program to the next level. We are in the process of looking for property to house our program for 4 months out of the year. If you know of anyone who might be able to help with land, please let us know. We are extremely excited about this expansion as we will be able to reach even more veterans and first responders that need a program such as ours.
We hosted another group of ICU and ER nurses this month. It was a great time had by all! We just partnered with another great organization, Team RWB! We are offering our program to their veterans and first responders from the San Diego and Orange County areas. Our reach continues to expand! We also had a wonderful group, The Model A Ford Club of San Diego, came to visit the ranch and see first hand how we are helping veterans and first responders work through mental health issues and find healing. We enjoyed answering their questions and giving them a demonstration. Everyone enjoyed seeing some beautiful cars parked by the horses. The horses enjoyed seeing them as well:-) I want to thank them for their generous donation that day as well.
Our 1st Annual Golf Tournament is shaping up nicely! We are blessed to have the talented Amy Scruggs attend as our Master of Ceremonies for the event and kick it off by singing the National Anthem. We also have some great sponsors for the event and still have some sponsorships available. If you would like to learn more about our sponsorship opportunities, connect with Cheryl or myself. You can also go to our website and complete a sponsorship form and also sign up to play golf! There is a limited number of golfers so sign up today! This is going to be a Great event!
Thank you all for your continued support of our Heroes, Horses and all of us at SIS! We could not offer this powerful healing without your support! I hope to see you at the ranch!
Blessings!
Tammy
