Happy Valentine’s Day! We have a lot more to love here at the ranch! Last week we were honored to adopt two Retired Border Patrol Mustangs! Pictured here is Waylon, a 12-year-old Grulla/Appaloosa Mustang. He was born in captivity in Fallon, Nevada. He already has many Heroes asking to work with him. I know he is going to change lives!

These past few weeks have been extremely busy. Not only were we getting ready for the Mustangs, but we were also able to make big progress on our Heroes garden. We had been waiting for someone that had the equipment to help us move some very large rocks. Thanks to Rick White of R A White Construction, he moved some heavy rocks to our Heroes garden and also graded the area for our Mustangs. Thank you Rick!!

Thank you also to Sandy Angione of Sandy Angione Real Estate our newest 2 Star – $2,500 sponsor for the 2nd Annual Saddles in Service Golf Tournament for her donation of sand and DG to our round pens to keep our horses comfortable in their work.

We also welcomed 7 new firefighters to our program! Our numbers of First Responders continues to grow at a rapid pace. Because of this rapid growth and interest in our program, we are making some adjustments so we can serve everyone who needs our program. After this week’s new orientations, we will hold off on having new orientations until May.

Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors and volunteers! Together we are making a difference in the lives of our Veterans, First Responders and their families! We look forward to seeing you at the ranch!

Hugs, Tammy
