A message from Tammy, our CEO
What a month we had! I feel as if I will be saying this each and every month! We have been as busy as ever especially since the documentary, Wounded Heroes, has been made available throughout the World. Mike and I have been interviewed by news stations in other states and by military publications. This documentary has brought awareness that was very much needed to better understand what our veterans and first responders are battling with. And it’s not just them…..their families are being affected by their loved one’s PTS and job stress as well. So not only are we helping our veterans and first responders, we are helping the entire family unit. Even though we are making tremendous strides through our program, we wanted to be even more effective so we partnered up with First Alarm Wellness, behavioral health specialists. We will be doing training with our Wranglers in developing additional exercises we will teach our Heroes to learn alongside their Horses. Everything we work on with our Heroes and their Horses can be translated into their daily interactions with their families, their co-workers and people in general. Horses bring such a natural healing and understanding of who we are as individuals. The mental health wellness and healing from being around horses is just phenomenal. We want to be the best in what we can offer our Heroes and Horses! They deserve nothing less. I want to take a moment and Thank everyone for their ongoing support of SIS! We truly could not do the work we are doing without you all! You are all a blessing to all of us at SIS! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! As we storm right on into April, I want to share something I wrote: “Every moment is a precious gift, and in the present moment is where we find that true connection with our horse. Live intentionally!” I do hope to see y’all at the ranch!
